Ambassador of Ukraine, Personal Representative on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination also focussing on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians and members of other religions Tetiana Izhevska took part in the International Conference "Christianity and Freedom: Historical and Contemporary Perspectives", held 13-14 December in Rome at the Pontifical University Urbaniana. The Conference focused on review of the situation with protection of human rights and religious freedoms of Christians in various countries around the world.

 The above-mentioned event was in some sense a continuation of the discussions started during a recent International Conference "Christians in the OSCE region: the state of their religious freedoms", held on November, 29 in Rome with the support of the Ukrainian Chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and organized by the Embassy of Ukraine to the Holy See, Personal Representative of the OSCE Chair-in-Office Tetiana Izhevska in collaboration with the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum).
