The choir of the Solomia Krushelnytska Lviv Music Lyceum performed a concert at the Cathedral of San Sabino in Bari. The event, held with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine, brought together members of the Ukrainian community, Italian friends, and all those wishing to express solidarity with Ukraine.
The concert became a meaningful act of cultural diplomacy and a platform of support for Ukrainian children forced by the war to live in conditions of constant danger. The performance of the young musicians created an atmosphere of unity and mutual respect, while the warm reception from the Italian audience reflected genuine empathy and closeness to the Ukrainian people.
During the evening, the choir presented Ukrainian and Italian works, including “O sole mio,” as a gesture of gratitude to the country that has welcomed many Ukrainians. Ambassador Andrii Yurash emphasized the importance of international solidarity in restoring a just and lasting peace.
Vito Lacoppola, representing the Municipality of Bari, presented each child with a commemorative certificate symbolically recognizing them as ambassadors of peace. Italian schoolchildren also joined the event, performing songs as a sign of friendship with their Ukrainian peers.
Significant assistance in organizing the concert was provided by the Municipality of Bari and Alessandro Di Biase.
The concert at the Cathedral of San Sabino, organized with the support of the Embassy, became another expression of friendship between Ukraine and Italy and reaffirmed the importance of standing by children affected by war.
